How Can I Make Money From Home With a Simple Blog

I’m sure you might already have an idea what a blog is. But if by some chance you don’t I’ll explain: A blog is basically a diary on the Internet. It’s a place you can post all your thoughts, ideas, views and recommendations onto the Internet very easily, for everyone and anyone to read.

Today, everybody wants to connect with everyone else and share thoughts, ideas and news online. And blogging is an easy and established way to do that (much easier than newer methods like Facebook and Twitter I think)… and make money from it too.

But there’s much more to blogging than just a diary. Because blogging is a way of getting a presence on the Internet… without the trouble and expense of setting up your own website. And then generating lots and lots of valuable traffic… which you can go on to generate an income for yourself from.

How do you set up your own blog?

Like I said it’s very easy to do. You don’t need any Internet or technical knowledge. You can just use a free, ready made package. Choose one which provides everything you need to get started. First, choose a name for your blog. This can be your own name or anything else you like. Next, choose a design for your blog from one of the ready made templates and tweak it a little to suit yourself. With Blogger you can add a profile, photos and other useful stuff with a few clicks. Within a few minutes you’ll be ready to start posting.

How to money from home with a simple blog

There are a few different ways to making some money from your blog, but one of the simplest ways is to let Google rent advertising space on your blog using their AdSense system. True, you only make pennies an ad. for this. But it’s money for nothing and, over the year, it will all add up.

An even better way is to sell products to visitors to your blog. A good way to do this is to let the famous Amazon site promote their range of products to your visitors. You can even set up an online shop on your blog selling books, CDs, software, household goods or electronics, or in fact anything Amazon sell. Amazon do all the work in filling orders and shipping and pay you a commission – around 5% to 10% – on the things your visitors buy.

And this is another good thing. Running a blog need take only minutes a day, making it an ideal sideline opp. You can spend as much or as little time as you like on it. You can even blog from your mobile phone if you want. And hook it up with Twitter and Facebook if you use those.

Try and post to your blog a few times a week at least. (If you already keep a diary you’re probably doing much the same thing already.) Remember to keep it focused and commercially-orientated though, not just idle chitter-chatter.

A really great idea for a blog is to do reviews. Test drive products that are relevant to the subject of your blog, write a review of them, and post them to your blog. Provide a link so your visitors can buy those you recommend through Amazon or whatever.

So, for example, if you are into photography you could set up a blog reviewing cameras. Using Amazon, if your visitors bought a £250 digital camera from one of your reviews, you could earn £25 a time!

It really is very simple to do. You don’t need to have any technical knowledge of the Internet or previous experience of blogging. So I really can’t see any reason why – with relatively little effort and time – you couldn’t do the same.
